Wimbledon Synagogue Night Shelter team

The wonderful team at Wimbledon Synagogue have been serving up delicious dinners for local guests who are homeless and vulnerable.

Each winter, for three months, the community opens its doors once a week for a night shelter scheme, run entirely by volunteers.

Attendees come from various countries, including the UK. For those who need it, an interpreter is arranged.

Each guest gets a three-course dinner, sleeps overnight on the synagogue premises and has breakfast the next morning.

During the remainder of the week, those who use the shelter are offered a similar service at churches in the area.
