Stevenage Liberal Synagogue (SLS) Chair Linda Paice was one of the guest speakers at the North Herts and Stevenage Interfaith Forum, celebrating International Women’s Day.
The discussion topic was ‘What is it like being a woman in my faith today?’ In addition to Linda, the large gathered audience heard from local Muslim, Catholic, Mormon, Sikh and Quaker women. Police Superintendent Chris Hay spoke about his role keeping faith communities safe in North & East Hertfordshire and presented flowers to the speakers.
Linda said: “It was good to share the similarities of women’s roles in the different religions and blow away a few myths, rather than hear about the differences, as is often the case.”
