We are deeply saddened by the death of Rabbi Dr Robert Ash.
Rabbi Robert will be remembered, among many achievements, for his dedication to strengthening and advancing Progressive Judaism in the North of England, as well as his longstanding commitment to interfaith work in the region.
He was a much-loved rabbi, who served and supported congregations in the UK and abroad including Newcastle Reform Synagogue, Sha’arei Shalom (North Manchester Reform Synagogue), Sinai Synagogue Leeds, Southport Reform Synagogue, Lancashire and Cumbria Liberal Jewish Community, Jüdische Gemeinde Hameln in Germany and Temple Emanuel in Johannesburg, South Africa.
May his memory be a blessing.
