Radlett Reform Cheder joined The Liberal Synagogue Elstree’s Hub for a morning of Tu BiShvat fun – the first event since members of both congregations voted to merge into one community.
The children made flower bookmarks, while the younger ones listened to the PJ Library story Trees Make Great Pets and agreed it was true. Everyone counted the rings on tree stumps, decorated them and also planted parsley for Pesach.
Radlett Cheder Head Teacher Carol Green said: “There was fruit and juice aplenty in our Tu BiShvat Seder and we ended by planting two trees – one for each synagogue, which will reunite when we are in one building together!”
