The Movement for Progressive Judaism (MPJ) has launched In Good Faith – a new series of conversations with religious and civic leaders designed to model what it means to cover difficult and sometimes divisive topics with care and respect.

Each episode, available on YouTube, will bring together a prominent religious, political or public figure with one of MPJ’s Co-Leads – Rabbi Charley Baginsky and Rabbi Josh Levy – creating a space to truly listen to each other, learn about the other’s perspective and have an honest conversation, even where we disagree.

In our first conversation, Rabbi Charley Baginsky is joined by the Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Revd Guli Francis-Dehqani, for an open and thoughtful discussion on Jewish-Christian relations, Israel and Palestine, antisemitism, women in faith leadership, identity and the importance of dialogue.

Drawing on their own personal stories, faith and experiences, they reflect on the impact of October 7 and its aftermath, how Jewish and Christian communities experience the Israel-Palestine conflict, the Kairos II document and the decision of the Church of England’s General Synod to hear it, and how there can be as many differences within faiths as between them.
