The Progressive rabbis and cantors who led this special Tikkun Leil Shavuot
Eight Progressive congregations from North West London and Hertfordshire came together as one for a special all-night Shavuot celebration of prayer, learning, music and community.
The Tikkun Leil Shavuot was a collaboration between Edgware and Hendon Reform Synagogue, The Liberal Synagogue Elstree, Kol Chai: Hatch End Reform Jewish Community, Mosaic Liberal Synagogue, Mosaic Reform Synagogue, Radlett Reform Synagogue, Sha’arei Tsedek North London Reform Synagogue and Stevenage Liberal Synagogue.
The programme explored the theme of ‘Journeys to Responsibility’ through a packed schedule of services, study sessions, discussions, performances and workshops, culminating in Shacharit at dawn.
Rabbi Paul Freedman of Radlett Reform Synagogue said: “It was a fabulous reunion – a celebration that continued to build on previous years, with a packed musical Erev Shavuot service with all our combined clergy and an even bigger ‘superminyan’ than ever before, staying right through to Shacharit at dawn!”
