Music, dance and comedy brought together 100 people from different faiths in an event organised by Altrincham Interfaith Group (AIG).
Menorah Synagogue members offered uplifting renditions of Hava Nagila and Dona Dona. Other communities shared Hindu dance, Muslim devotional singing, Sikh poetry, satirical sketches from the Bahá’í community and Unitarian reflections on the universalist themes in Oscar Hammerstein’s lyrics.
Ann Angel, Chair of Altrincham Interfaith Group and member of Menorah, said: “It was wonderful to experience such communal harmony. We all enjoyed an entertaining, insightful and spiritual evening where our shared values of compassion, unity and mutual respect were so vividly expressed.”
