Rabbi Charley Baginsky, Ed Miliband and Rabbi Josh Levy after their meeting
The Movement for Progressive Judaism’s Co-Leads, Rabbi Charley Baginsky and Rabbi Josh Levy, were delighted to meet with Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband today for an excellent and wide-ranging conversation.
The meeting began with the impact of rising antisemitism and global events on Jewish communities in Britain, before moving into a broader dialogue about Israel and Palestine, the nature of Jewish life in the UK, and the challenges and opportunities facing our community.
Rabbis Josh and Charley said: “It was a thoughtful and constructive discussion about the future: how we build a confident, outward-looking Jewish community, how Government can engage meaningfully with the diversity of Jewish life, and how we work together towards a more hopeful and secure future both here and internationally.”
